From the beginning, ACCESS has built its program on a foundation of prayer and listening to God’s direction. Join us at our site in Chinatown for the next quarterly prayer meeting on Saturday, October 13, 9:00-11:00 a.m. as we seek God’s guidance in being God’s extended hands in Chinatown. Whether you can come pray with us on site or will pray at home, please bring to the Lord the following:

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Thank God for…

• 6 fall classes, 3 of which are full.

• new program coordinator, 4 new and 2 old teachers.
• pilot conversational classes starting in October.

Pray for…

• opportunity to share God’s love in the up-coming holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Enrichment Program (EP) (for children K2 to 5th grade)

Thank God for…

• a good summer, including the pilot one-week Summerbridge Program run by Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston at their church.

• a good start of the school year with 38 students and all our EEC slots filled.

Pray for…

• new students who are hearing the Gospel for the first time.

• wisdom in knowing how best to support parents.
• young Asian professionals to mentor some students.

Family Life

Thank God for…

• a volunteer social worker available to parents weekly.

• increase in resources of our family life library.

Pray for…

• wisdom in future collaboration with other agencies.

Computer Literacy Program

Thank God for…

• volunteers willing to provide another 4 session-class, weekly on Tuesday nights October 9 to 30, with full enrollment.

Pray for…

• setting up of the computer lab.

Head Start Mental Health Consultation Contract

• the opportunity to provide parenting workshops in the coming school year.

Technology Support

• insurance reimbursement for the stolen computer.

• computer drive organized by CBCGB successful obtained a few used computers for ACCESS.
