From the beginning, ACCESS has built its program on a foundation of prayer and listening to God’s direction. We would love to have you join us at our site in Chinatown for the next quarterly prayer meeting as we seek God’s guidance in being God’s extended hands in Chinatown. Whether you can come pray with us on site or will pray at home, please bring to the Lord the following:

Adult English as a Second Language Program (AESL)

Thank God for…

· six teachers and adequate classroom space for the new semester that started on March 1.

Pray for…

· our teachers. Pray for renewed vision and strength to start a new semester.

· our 100 students. Most work very long hours. Pray for a growing interest in spiritual things.

Restaurant Ministry

Thank God for…

· the continue recovery of Mrs. Liu, mother of one of our faithful volunteers, from her liver transplant.

· more than ten who showed an interest in life style evangelism through tutoring.

Pray especially for…

· our new direction of building relationships by being language partners/tutors to our AESL students.

· our planning in training and coordination of this new direction.

Chinese Cultural Corner (CCC) (for children K2 to 5th grade)

Thank God for…

· the faithful volunteer teachers and administrator who run this program.

Pray for…

· the children who have been attending and their families, that God’s care will be felt.
Enrichment Program (EP) (for children K2 to 5th grade)

Thank God for…

· funding sources available that allow our program to stay affordable for families.

Pray for…

· the meaningful and fun ideas for the full-day weeks in February and April.

· the spiritual curiosity and growth of our 33 students who have been hearing the Gospel message, especially for the coming Easter message in April.
Mothers’ English as a Second Language Program (MESL)

Thank God for…

· commitment of coordinators, teachers, childcare workers and a volunteer to run the spring quarter from March 23 to June 10.

Pray for…

· the recruitment of students to attend the program.

· at least one more volunteer to help with childcare.

Mothers’ Group

Pray for…

· the new quarter from March 26 to June 11

· Those old and new mothers will join and all will feel God’s care for them.
Mental Health Consultation with ABCD Chinese Church Head Start

Pray for…

· a volunteer clinical social worker that is conducting assessment/play therapy for eight children.
Equipment

Thank God for…

· a faithful Technology Team who helped us with the set up and maintenance of our equipment.
Finance

Thank God for…

· continued financial supports from individuals, churches and funding sources.
Cleaning

Thank God for…

· the MIT Hong Kong Student Bible Study group who washed our floor on February 1.
Board of Directors

Thank God for…

· the service of Ruth Brigham, who have served faithfully for three years as our Clerk.

· the return of Denise Han on our Board.

Pray for…

· vision and obedience for our new Board, with Jamson Lam as President, Lucinda Zehr as Clerk and Becky Poon as Treasurer.

· the Board retreat on April 2-3.
