From the beginning, ACCESS has built its program on a foundation of prayer and listening to God’s direction. Join us at our site in Chinatown for the next quarterly prayer meeting on Saturday, July 14, 9:00-11:00 a.m. as we seek God’s guidance in being God’s extended hands in Chinatown. Whether you can come pray with us on site or will pray at home, please bring to the Lord the following:
ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL)
Thank God for…
- 6 summer classes, 3 of which are full.
Pray for…
- a new program coordinator.
- teachers for the fall semester.
- enrollment of students for the fall semester.
- encouragement for current teachers in summer stress.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (EP) (for children K2 to 5th grade)
Thank God for…
- a healthy enrollment for our Summer Program.
- a strong summer team.
Pray for…
- volunteers still needed for Summer Program.
- students’ learning and safety
- new students who are hearing the Gospel for the first time
Mothers’ Group

- wisdom in discerning enrollment trends.
- decision as to continuing the program in the fall.
COMPUTER CLASS
Thank God for…
- volunteers piloting a computer class Wednesday nights from July 11 to August 1, to be taught in Mandarin and Cantonese.
HEAD START MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTATION CONTRACT
Thank God for…
- a successful year of service.
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT
Thank God for…
- dedicated volunteers who replaced the staff CPU that crashed, and connected all staff computers to all printers.
Pray for…
- recruitment of a technology coordinator.
15TH ANNIVERARY CELEBRATION
Thank God for…
- a Committee working hard for our 11/3/2007 celebration at the Empire Garden.
Pray for…
- preparation, including the silent auction.
- the sale of tickets and tables; we are aiming for 400 guests.
BOARD & COMMITTEES

- productive Board retreat in June.
- active commitment of Board members.

- wisdom for the Finance Committee in closing budget deficit.
- the work of the Program Committee in evaluating enrollment trends in EP & Mothers’ ESOL class, in getting feedback from students, deciding whether to expand ESOL hours and sites, and in forming strategic partnerships with community agencies/churches.
- the production of a profile booklet on our programs.
